The Suffragette as Militant Artist, 2010
chap book, in collaboration with Hester Reeve
The Suffragette as Militant Artist explores the role that art played in the early twentieth-century campaign to win votes for women. In drawings and texts by Hester Reeve and myself, this chap book documents actions by the many Suffragettes who were artists, and their extensive attacks on artworks in museums throughout the UK.
Published on the occasion of ‘Out of the Archives’, an exhibition at The Women’s Library, London, curated by Anna Colin.
